D.O. Penedès
Our winery in Vilafranca del Penedès was founded in 1942, although our winemaking tradition dates back more than 150 years. Over three generations, we have maintained our identity as a family-run winery, gaining international prestige. We continue to operate in the original modernist buildings in the historic centre of Vilafranca, where we still use traditional ceramic vats for making our wines. Additionally, we have unique underground cellars where some of our most iconic wines ferment, and a barrel room where our best red wines mature.
In 2019, we built a new winery on our estate, Mas Muntanyans, just 10 km from Vilafranca. Here, we carry out the harvest, we produce the wines, as well as bottle aging for most of our cavas. The estate is an ecological and biodynamic oasis, featuring advanced technology and a variety of vessels such as granite eggs, amphorae, and ceramic barrels, which allow us to extract the best from each plot.
Our vineyards at Mas Muntanyans, surrounding the hillside, offer a diverse range of altitudes, soils, and microclimates. This environment, with its clay-limestone soil and Mediterranean climate influence, enables us to produce high-quality wines in limited quantities, renowned for their richness in nuances and unique character.
