Mireia
Essence of the wine
J.J. Tetes wanted to create a special wine named after his daughter Mireia, using three very distinctive grape varieties: Gewürztraminer, Muscat, and Sauvignon Blanc. Blending requires time and precision, as these three varieties are so aromatic that even a small adjustment in proportions can completely change the wine’s profile. Each year, it takes several days to find the perfect blend, and once achieved, the elegance that defines the wine is revealed. This process is symbolized on the label: the lilac flower represents the exaltation of the varieties, while silver symbolizes the elegance attained. The result is a very special, unique, elegant, and surprising wine that leaves an unforgettable impression on those who taste it.
Variety
Moscato de Frontignac 40%, Gewürztraminer 50%, Sauvignon Blanc 10%
Terroir
It comes from our Mas Muntanyans estate, specifically from the Mireia vineyard plot and the Solellada area. The vines, over 45 years old, are cultivated organically and biodynamically, respecting the environment. The highly calcareous soil is ideal for vinifying this unique wine. The fresh breeze from the Mediterranean Sea influences its character, giving it an unmistakable personality.
Winemaking Process
This wine is made from carefully selected grapes from the vineyard, using only the free-run juice to ensure maximum quality and expression. Each variety is vinified separately at a low temperature to preserve its most intense and pure aromas. Once fermentation is complete, the different varieties are blended and left to rest in tanks for a few months to achieve perfect integration. Finally, the wine is bottled, preserving its freshness and aromatic complexity.
Appearance
Brilliant, yellow in color with greenish hues.
Aroma
Very floral notes, such as violets and roses. Also fruity notes, like lychee. It is a highly aromatic and complex wine, with a very elegant and unique nose.
Taste
On the palate, the wine is silky and full-bodied, with a smooth and fresh entry. The fruit, particularly lychee, stands out, along with floral notes of roses. Its minerality and a slight saline touch provide a persistent freshness, while the dry, elegant, and well-balanced finish makes it a highly gastronomic wine, ideal for pairing with a wide variety of dishes.
Serving temperature
10º
Food pairing and serving
This is a highly gastronomic wine that pairs perfectly with complex dishes such as sushi, as well as spiced dishes and white sauces. It is ideal to accompany tapas, appetizers, seafood, and fresh salads. It also pairs excellently with anchovies and cheeses, especially blue cheese, for those looking to surprise themselves with an unforgettable combination.
