La Teula

Essence of the wine

The plot where this wine originates is called La Teula, located at the top of a mountain shaped like a tile when viewed from the sea. It is the symbol that fishermen from Garraf used to orient themselves and reach their destination. Limited Production: 1513 bottles.

Sauvignon Blanco 100%

Terroir

The Sauvignon Blanc vineyard is situated over 700 meters above sea level, in the highest part of Penedès, in Font Rubí. We work with regenerative agriculture, shaped by the Mediterranean climate. The production is very limited, and its altitude allows for an exceptionally fresh wine with great aging potential.

Winemaking Process

The grapes are harvested at dawn to ensure maximum freshness upon arrival at the winery. A short maceration and very delicate pressing are carried out to extract the variety’s elegance. Then, the wine is placed in 500-liter acacia and chestnut barrels to preserve the fruit’s maximum expression. It remains in barrels for about 14 months with the finest lees and is then aged in the bottle for 3 years to achieve this treasure.

Appearance

The wine has a golden yellow color with amber highlights. A very fine tear slowly glides down the glass, showcasing the wine’s unctuousness.

Aroma

On the nose, it presents an exuberant intensity and great complexity. This is a vibrant wine. Typical varietal aromas such as asparagus, white fruits, citrus, and saline notes reveal the freshness of the wine after 5 years of aging. Floral aromas also emerge, blending with smoky, balsamic, and hydrocarbon nuances.

Taste

On the palate, it has a lively acidity, fresh yet well-balanced with its volume and body. This character makes it highly gastronomic and elegant. The aromatic complexity is diverse, with flavors mirroring those perceived on the nose.

Food pairing and serving

This wine pairs perfectly with aged cheeses like Manchego or Comté, balancing their intensity with its acidity. It also complements baked fish such as hake or cod, bringing freshness and complexity. Its acidity cleanses the palate and enhances deep flavors in brothy rice dishes, such as lobster or mountain-style rice. With slow-cooked meats, like fricandó or duck magret with orange sauce, it harmonizes textures and caramelized flavors. Additionally, it pairs well with prepared seafood dishes, such as gratinated scallops, thanks to its unctuousness and elegance. A gastronomic and versatile wine for intense and structured dishes.
