Terroir

The D.O.Ca. Rioja terroir is distinguished by its great diversity, with a wide variety of soils, climates, and altitudes that directly influence the character of the wines. The northern area of Rioja, where these grapes are sourced, is notable for its intense sunlight, low rainfall, and diverse soil composition. The vines thrive in an environment with significant temperature variations between day and night, allowing for wines with great complexity, elegance, and terroir expression.

Winemaking Process

The fermentation process occurs at 30ºC, followed by a 45-day maceration, with daily and prolonged pump-overs. The wine is then aged in French and American oak barrels for 18 months. Finally, it is refined in the bottle for a minimum of 2 years.

Appearance

Clean and bright, with a medium-high intensity. It exhibits a ruby-red color with tile-colored edges.

Aroma

Intense and complex, with red fruit notes standing out against a background of vanilla, spices, and toasted hints.

Taste

Fresh and complex, with a smooth and silky mouthfeel. It offers mature and elegant tannins, with a long and balanced finish.

This wine pairs exceptionally well with high-quality meats, such as grilled lamb, roasted beef, or pork tenderloin with spiced or mushroom sauces.
