D.O. Penedès
Gaudiana Rosé
Essence of the wine
The name "Gaudiana" is dedicated to the architect Antoni Gaudí, drawing inspiration from his creativity and legacy. The label references the first "trencadís," a technique characteristic of Gaudí that reflects his genius and connection with nature. This detail symbolizes the harmony and innovation that Gaudí left as a legacy, which we aim to represent in our wines.
Variety
Merlot 50%, Tempranillo 50%
Terroir
The Penedès terroir is known for its diversity of soils and microclimates, ranging from limestone to clayey terrains, which enhances the unique expression of each grape variety. The influence of the Mediterranean Sea and the nearby mountains creates a perfect balance between freshness and ripeness, resulting in wines of great complexity and personality.
Winemaking Process
The grapes are harvested at their optimal ripening point to ensure freshness and the full expression of their aromas. Each variety is vinified separately, with a short maceration to achieve a delicate rosé color and avoid excessive tannin extraction. After fermentation at a controlled temperature, the selected varieties are blended to create a fresh, light wine with a pronounced fruity character.
Appearance
The wine presents a pale rosé color with violet reflections and a bright, lively appearance. Its delicate hue offers subtle intensity, highlighting its freshness and youthful character.
Aroma
On the nose, clean and vibrant aromas emerge, with notes of fresh fruits such as red currants, strawberries, and cherries. Light floral hints and subtle citrus touches add delicate freshness and an appealing, fragrant expression.
Taste
On the palate, it is round and silky, with a soft yet deep structure. The red and black fruit notes blend with floral nuances and light spicy hints, adding pleasant complexity. Its vibrant acidity provides freshness, while the long, delicate finish leaves a sense of great balance and smoothness, inviting another sip.
Serving temperature
6º
Food pairing and serving
This rosé pairs perfectly with light dishes such as prawn carpaccio, pizzas with fresh ingredients, mild cured meats like serrano ham, fresh salads with goat cheese or nuts, and pasta with light tomato sauce or pesto. It is also an excellent match for sushi or white fish tartare, as the wine beautifully complements the freshness and fruity notes of these dishes.
