D.O. Ribera del Duero
Diorama Ribera del Duero
Essence of the wine
This wine line represents a wine from each of the wineries where we produce in Spain. As seen on the labels, the circle symbolizes the three key elements that make each wine unique according to its region: SUN, WATER, and SOIL. The different terroirs in these regions ensure that each wine has its own special characteristics that make it unique. The circle on each label changes in colors and textures, depending on the hours of sunlight, the amount of water, and the type of soil that influence the vineyards in each area.
Variety
Tempranillo 100%
Terroir
The vineyards are located in El Páramo, at an altitude between 800 and 1,000 meters, in the Golden Mile of Ribera del Duero. They benefit from a continental climate and limestone soils, which provide minerality to the wines. The high thermal amplitude between day and night allows for a slow and optimal ripening process, resulting in wines with intense fruit flavors, complexity, and elegance, as well as excellent aging potential.
Winemaking Process
To preserve the freshness of the grapes, we harvest at night. Once in the winery, the grapes macerate for about 15 days with their skins, fermenting at low temperature, in order to preserve the fruity aromas and encourage a gentler fermentation. Afterward, the wine is transferred to American and French oak barrels, where it rests for 4 months, refining its character and developing spicy notes from the wood. The wine then continues its bottle aging, where it slowly evolves until reaching its maximum expression before being released.
Appearance
Clean and bright, with medium-high intensity. Deep ruby color with violet reflections.
Aroma
This wine stands out for its aromatic intensity, with notes of ripe black fruit, such as black cherry and blackberry, accompanied by red fruit and a subtle touch of plum. Spicy barrel aromas, such as cocoa and black pepper, blend with a hint of toasted wood, adding complexity. Floral notes and a mineral sensation reflecting the terroir are also present.
Taste
This wine is known for its vitality, with an explosion of black and red fruit, especially black cherry, merging with spicy barrel notes like cocoa, licorice, pepper, and a slight hint of toasted almond. Its balanced acidity provides freshness, while the smooth, well-integrated tannins offer a silky and elegant structure.
