Clos del Mas
Essence of the wine
Clos del Mas refers to the white farmhouse located on the Mas Blanc estate in Priorat.
Variety
Grenache, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon
Terroir
The terroir of our estate in Priorat is unique, characterized by its poor, stony soil, with a high presence of licorella, which gives the wines an exceptional minerality. This environment, combined with the warm, dry climate, results in intense, well-structured wines with a depth that reflects the identity of the region.
Winemaking Process
After a slow maturation process in stainless steel tanks, followed by aging in French and American oak barrels for six months, the wine was bottled for further refinement and aging in the bottle.
Appearance
Dark mahogany color with violet hues, clean and bright. Full-bodied with a dense layer.
Aroma
Intense ripe fruit aromas. As it oxygenates, fruity notes emerge, complemented by subtle mineral and spicy hints.
Taste
Rich fruity flavors stand out, well-balanced with the wine’s body. It has a high concentration of soft tannins, delivering a smooth and pleasant mouthfeel.
Serving temperature
18º
Food pairing and serving
Clos del Mas pairs perfectly with intense, flavorful dishes, enhancing its structure and complexity. Roasted meats, such as lamb or beef, highlight its tannins, while aged cheeses like Manchego or Parmesan enrich its mineral character. Game dishes with spiced sauces amplify its fruity and spicy notes, creating a sophisticated balance. Grilled ribs harmonize with its smoky touch, and spiced dishes like a tagine enhance its spiced dimension. These pairings allow the wine to shine, elegantly accompanying complex flavors.
